Ameya Bhalerao is a Member of Technical Staff at Oracle with a passion for software engineering, cloud infrastructure development, IoT, and computer vision. He has gained valuable experience through internships and project work in these fields and has also conducted research in machine learning, neural networks, and image processing. Ameya has published a paper titled "Palm-print recognition based on scale invariant features." At Oracle, Ameya is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure backend associated with Unbreakable Linux Network (ULN) and Oracle Container Registry (OCR). He has developed Terraform and BASH scripts for automation of system updates across the tenancy, reducing the need for manual interaction. He has also developed IaaS code for initiating cloud resources and monitoring their performance, resulting in reduced downtime and increased efficiency. Additionally, Ameya has worked on the ULN Python modules for the Oracle Linux 9 release. Prior to joining Oracle, Ameya completed internships at Oracle and Synchrony. At Oracle, he successfully automated the creation of compute instances and block volumes, installation and configuration of WebLogic Server, and deployment of ORDS using Terraform, BASH scripting, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and Weblogic Server. At Synchrony, he developed an autonomous bot for cleanup and health-check processes in a Virtual Desktop Instance (VDI) and automated the VDI setup and update processes to enhance efficiency. Ameya holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, which he completed in 2021. His technical skills include software engineering, infrastructure development, Terraform, computer vision, image processing, CI/CD, Python, machine learning, neural networks, Jenkins, and backend development. With 1.86 years of relevant experience, Ameya is a highly skilled and motivated individual with a passion for technology and innovation.
