Ameya Shendre is an accomplished Engineer with over 8 years of relevant experience in software engineering. He is currently working as a Senior Engineer at Babylon Health, a digital health service provider. Prior to this, he has worked with Goldman Sachs as an Associate, where he was involved in the extraction and parsing of syntactic signals like email similarity, blast emails. He also developed a QueryParser supporting E-Communication-based surveillance using ANTLR and a model for near-duplicate email content detection using locality-sensitive hashing [simhash]. Ameya has also worked with Walmart as a Software Engineer, where he modeled & implemented Ant Colony Optimization algorithms to improve in-store picking systems for Walmart & ASDA grocery systems. He achieved a 40% improvement in picking costs and developed an Order Promising and Scheduling Engine for Walmart's Express order delivery initiative. Additionally, he designed and built an application for grocery stakeholders to observe the life-cycle of a grocery order, for which he was awarded with Spot awards for Q4’15 and Q2’16. Ameya completed his Integrated M.Tech in Mathematics and Computer Science from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, in 2015. His technical expertise lies in software engineering, and he is well-versed in various programming languages and tools.
