Ami Sampat is a seasoned UX Designer with a passion for creating exceptional user experiences. With over 9 years of experience in the industry, she has honed her skills in product design, interaction design, GUI, VUI, multimodal, UX research, and design thinking. Currently, Ami leads the experience design and UX research for all India-first features of Alexa at Amazon, where she holds the position of UX Designer III. Ami's notable achievements at Amazon include launching Amitabh Bachchan's celebrity voice on Alexa, Pay with Alexa - the launch of UPI as a payment method, Rewards, Registration, and Reminders, and Learn with Alexa - a white-labelled guided learning experience through voice. She has also contributed to many other smaller projects that have helped enhance the user experience of Alexa. Prior to her current role, Ami worked as a UX Designer II at Amazon and as a Senior UX Design Specialist at SAP, where she was responsible for UX research and design of enterprise applications for healthcare business verticals. At SAP, she worked on key projects such as Patient Accounting, Patient Administration, Patient Portal, and Patient Engagement, which aimed to improve the healthcare experience for patients and doctors alike. Ami holds a Master's degree in Product Design from IISC, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from VIT. Her technical expertise includes designer, research scientist, and product designer, and she is always looking for new ways to innovate and improve the user experience.
