Amir Edris is a talented Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, and Python Developer with a strong background in IT and Computer Science. He is passionate about leveraging his skills to influence and support business decisions and product launches. Amir is currently working as a Cloud Engineer at Cologuard Enterprise Solutions, LLC, where he is responsible for providing networking and infrastructure support to clients. He was promoted from an intern to a full-time employee for demonstrating top performance and setting up new workstations with staff, bringing them on with minimal downtime. Amir is also responsible for maintaining the company network and ensuring server-side issues are dealt with. In the past, Amir worked as a Data Science Student at Flatiron School, where he worked on collaborative and solo projects in Data Science adhering to industry best practices. Some of his notable projects include Facial-Expression-Recognition, Malaria Classification, and Big 5 Personality & Substance Use. He used various techniques such as object detection, CNN, OpenCV, and neural networks to develop these projects. Amir is always seeking new challenges and opportunities to further develop his skills. Amir has a Bachelor's degree in Data Science from CUNY New York City College of Technology, where he studied Mathematics and Computer Science. He also completed a Python Developer course from Zero to Mastery Academy and an AWS certification course from Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow.
