Amir R. is a senior executive with over a decade of experience in the industry, specializing in planet-scale machine learning and artificial intelligence applications and infrastructure, hybrid cloud, big data, and developer productivity. He has worked with companies such as Google and has also spent multiple years in research and development in academia. Currently, Amir is a Board Member and President at jewel ml, a company that focuses on superior personalization through artificial intelligence and machine learning. In the past, Amir has worked with companies such as Google as a Product Manager for their Internal Machine Learning platform (Brain) that powers the majority of Google and Alphabet’s revenue, including Search and Advertising, Spam, Integrity, and Quality prediction for product verticals such as Search, Display, YouTube, and Gmail. The infrastructure is built from the ground up to deliver end-to-end handling of real-time planetary-scale data, with ultra-high availability and low latency using custom-made hardware such as TPUs. An extension of the platform powers Google Search and Knowledge Graph applications globally as well. Amir has also worked as a Business and Technical Mentor, Investor with companies such as era, tech stars, nyu leslie elab. He mentors entrepreneurs in accelerators across New York City and invests in them at times. Amir has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Harvard Business School and a Master of Applied Science in Engineering (MASc.) degree from the University of Waterloo in Computer/Software Assisted Manufacturing.
