Amit Arora is a highly experienced Engineering Leader with over 18 years of hands-on experience in managing Software Development and Engineering teams, DevOps, Site reliability engineering teams, and delivering critical product releases. He has worked in multiple customer-facing roles and is an expert in managing large teams and defining processes and initiatives for increased productivity and customer satisfaction. Amit's expertise lies in Cloud Computing, Enterprise applications with High Availability, Disaster recovery, and Cybersecurity. He has worked on various enterprise software products in SIEM, IT Compliance, Business intelligence, Data analytics, and Managed services, log management (EDR, XDR, MDR, SIEM, and SOAR). He is a Cybersecurity enthusiast, mentor, and coach. Currently, Amit is working as a Senior Manager of SRE and Software Engineering at Microsoft, where he is building the SRE team in the Cloud Security product suite. In the past, he has worked as a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Rocket Software, where he was part of the first 10 employees to start the Pune CoE and responsible for hiring, building & nurturing the Engineering teams in Pune while leading the Business Intelligence Product suite. He has also worked as a Senior Manager of SRE and Software Engineering at Symantec, where he owned and delivered multiple major and minor releases for Compliance and CyberSecurity products and built Development and SRE teams from scratch. Amit holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Savitribai Phule Pune University and has submitted a Patent that was accepted as a trade secret. His Tech Stack includes SRE, SQL, DevOps, Software Engineer, Redis, Elastic Search, Senior Software Engineer, Spark, Docker, Javascript, Java, AWS, NodeJS, and AngularJS.
