Amit Bansal is a seasoned QA leader with 16+ years of experience in leading high performing QA teams and ensuring high quality of the delivered product. He is currently working as a Senior Engineering Manager at Walmart Global Tech India, where he is responsible for software engineering and managing a team of QA engineers. Amit is a hands-on leader with vast experience in creating test automation frameworks using open source technologies such as pytest, testNG, rest-assured, selenium, python, and java. He has expertise in testing SAAS applications, SOAP/REST APIs, and service virtualizations. He is also skilled in setting up nightly regression jobs, creating test pipelines, and enriching CI/CD pipeline with build acceptance tests. Before joining Walmart, Amit worked as an SDET Manager at Aeris Communications, where he was responsible for the E2E delivery of product release of an IoT-based product built over technologies including but not limited to IoT, BigData, AI, and ML. He designed and developed a Test framework using python3 with Pytest as an underlying framework with features to connect to GCP PubSub, GCP BigQuery, etc. He also handled a team of 8 QA engineers (manual and Automation). Amit has also worked as a Principal Software QA Engineer (Test Architect Role) at UKG, where he was responsible for test automation framework design and development using Java, Rest Assured, Selenium, and TestNG. He also designed and developed the test execution framework using Jenkins (DSL and Pipelines) and Groovy. He set up test results dashboard with automatic failure analysis. Amit holds a Master's degree in Computer Applications from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University and a diploma in Java, SQL Server, VB, VC+ from NIIT University. He is skilled in various technologies such as GCP, Java, AI, Python, and Jenkins.
