Amit Bhakuni is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with over 10 years of relevant experience in the technology industry. Currently working at Walmart Labs India, Amit serves as a Senior Software Engineer in the Promotion Engine team, where he is responsible for meeting the promotional requirements of Samsclub DOTCOM, Scan And Go, and POS. Prior to joining Walmart, Amit worked as a Senior Software Engineer at LogMeIn (formerly Citrix), where he was a part of the Commerce Team that built the Next Generation commerce system. This system facilitated order, billing, subscription, invoicing, payment processing, and all commerce services related functionalities for all products offered by LogMeIn. Before LogMeIn, Amit worked as a Senior Technical Associate at Sears Holdings India, where he was a part of the Search team that used Apache Solr as a search engine. During his tenure at Sears Holdings, Amit developed new features on some of the layers of the search project, including the development of microservices for third-party API integration. He also worked on qualifier parsing, category prediction microservices, which improved search results. Amit has a strong educational background, having completed his Intermediate education in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry from Little Scholars, and his High School education from Shri D.D.C.M Public School. He holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electronics and Communication from Uttarakhand Technical University.
