Amit Chahar is an experienced Software Development Engineer with a passion for developing micro-services using AWS tools. With over 4 years of experience in full-stack development, Amit has extensive knowledge in developing micro-services using AWS tools such as DynamoDB, Lambda, infrastructure as code through CloudFormation and Cloud Development Kit (CDK), SQS, Step functions, Cloudwatch, QLDB, Kubernetes, Elastic Container Service (ECS), Elastic Container Registery (ECR), S3, SNS, CloudFront, Kinesis, Redshift, AWS Config, data pipeline and Key Management Service (KMS). He has designed several complex systems in Java, Python, GoLang, C/C++, Node.js and Android. Currently working at Snapchat as a Software Development Engineer, Amit has created systems that support a large user base and high TPS (transactions per second). Prior to Snapchat, Amit worked as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, where he primarily worked on Java and Python for Amazon Business pricing. He gained extensive knowledge of micro-services development using native AWS tools and developed infrastructure using AWS to deploy machine learning models to optimize discounts on more than 1 million ASINs. He also implemented APIs to publish discounts on the Amazon Business website, which handles 250 calls per second. Amit designed solutions to handle multi-currency cases in EU marketplaces and implemented a migration plan to move legacy systems to completely use AWS technologies. Amit holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Engineering from Army Institute of Technology. He is proficient in a wide range of technologies, including AWS, ECS, Javascript, Kubernetes, UI, ML, Typescript, Microservices, Spark, Data Warehouse, Python, Java, and Deep Learning.
