Amit Chakraborty is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with over 31 years of relevant experience in the field of Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. He is currently the Co-founder of Visionbot.com, a cloud-based platform that offers "Objective data from Subjective Visuals" by leveraging Deep Learning and Computer Vision. Amit is responsible for technology and market adoption on some of the challenging applications in Computer Vision, ranging from optimized video coding, streaming, and performing Deep learning and NN powered classifiers in as close to real-time as possible. Amit's skill sets include hands-on work in various areas such as Image Recognition, ML algorithms, Machine Learning, Predictive Modeling, Spark, Hadoop ecosystem, Multi-protocol gateways for IOT, Cloud platforms, Server-side, Web client, Multimedia, Mobile Client, and Cross-platform. He is proficient in using various tools and technologies such as OpenCV DNN/Tensorflow using Keras, SarkMLLib, Anaconda, Decision trees, Classification, Regression and Clustering, Weka, SPM, AWS (EC2, S3, Cloudfront, Route 53, EMR) / IBM Bluemix Softlayer, J2EE / Node JS, html5/Jquery/js, WebRTC/Wowza/Flash streaming, Android/Swift/Xcode Cross-platform, and many more. Before joining Visionbot.com, Amit worked as a Director - Data Platform at Visa, leading the PaaS Data Platform team from Bangalore for augmentation of Machine Learning and Hadoop Analytics clusters. He also served as Chief Solutions Architect at Applied Analytics, where he built up a cloud-based Analytics-as-a-service platform. Amit holds a B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He is a highly skilled and experienced professional with a passion for technology and innovation.
