Amit Garg is a highly skilled Staff Engineer with over 11 years of experience in the technology industry. Currently working at Qualcomm, he is responsible for optimizing power and performance for multiple IoT Snapdragon products, including smart watches, smart speakers, smart assistants, and connected cameras. Amit is extensively working on Snapdragon 8909/8953/8917/845/835 chipsets, focusing on end-to-end LPM, sleep power optimization, SW power and performance, CPU/GPU/DDR scheduler/governor tuning, and multiple customer support. Previously, Amit worked as a Senior Engineer at Smartron India, where he was responsible for the complete design and development of a detachable/modular mobile phone prototype. He filed patents, built and managed a team, and developed a concept where individual components of a mobile phone can be detached and assembled based on user needs. This concept will further be developed to include components like cameras, speakers, processing-data from cloud, etc. Amit also worked as a Lead Engineer at Samsung, where he led the bootloader porting, debugging, and optimization project, and implemented new features. He was responsible for supporting and debugging all binary flashing issues, integrating and enhancing secure boot and customize secure boot (CSB) for KNOX support for checking device integrity, and developing a device integrity verification feature called TIMA (Trustzone based Integrity Measure Architecture). He ported this feature on all other chipsets and closely worked with Qualcomm and raising SR’s for Trustzone support. Amit holds a degree in ICT from Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology.
