Amit Govind is a highly motivated and result-oriented Master's graduate in Engineering Management with a primary focus towards business development analytics, data visualization, continuous improvement and product management. With 4.11 years of relevant experience, he has worked as a Business Analyst at Changing the Present, where he was tasked with the creation of a pre-paid card for teachers, enabling them to access discounts in major retail stores and checking for the feasibility and viability of the project. He connected with various financial institutions and vendors to understand the business model and identify opportunities for collaboration. Analyzing historical teacher spending data, he identified major retailers to partner with, providing maximum saving opportunities. He analyzed the data and provided a business plan which was presented to management. Prior to this, Amit worked as a Business Analyst at Wayfair, where he developed and continuously upgraded the weekly orientation program, usually engaging with up to 200 new hires. He worked cross-functionally with different groups across the organization to identify areas of improvement and implement changes to the weekly orientation. Amit also worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Accenture, where he worked on agile projects, including the development of efficient financial and HR reports which were sent to clients on a weekly basis. He owned the team’s transition into a new IT service management tool and ensured no impact to the day-to-day functioning. He worked on the migration of the system platform to SAP BW on HANA. He was awarded the ‘Dedication & Hard work' award and received excellent client feedback. He was responsible for data monitoring and issue resolution via source data corrections and SAP-side fixes and month-end closing activities. Amit holds a Master's degree in Engineering Management from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from PES University.
