Amit Gupta is a Lead Data Engineer at Fidelity Investments, working in the Fidelity Center for Applied Technology (FCAT) AI Incubator. With over 10 years of relevant experience, he has a strong background in data engineering, AI, Spark, SQL, and software engineering. At Fidelity, Amit has worked on several critical projects, including the WI Personalization project, which aimed to personalize messages to customers based on their activities in their Fidelity accounts. He led the creation of an informatica pipeline to load daily customer data into staging tables after cleansing, and from there, the data was loaded into SCD type2 tables in the warehouse. Additionally, he created stored procedures and packages for the same, and a POC is currently in progress to make the data movement real-time using Kafka. Amit also worked on the Scoring Utility Project, where he accessed customer account data from the warehouse and built an analytics system using PL/SQL to score all customers based on their contributions in their saving accounts. This scoring system allowed the business team to take actions based on the scoring of each customer. Before joining Fidelity, Amit worked as a Software Engineer at Fidelity and a Programmer Analyst at Cognizant. At Cognizant, he worked on the GB Analytical Rating Engine project for The Hartford Insurance, where he developed various packages, procedures in Oracle, and query optimization. He also developed Autosys scripts to schedule the daily flow and developed shell scripts for file transferring. Amit holds a Master of Technology in Data Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from Kurukshetra University. He has expertise in several technologies, including Data Engineering, Spark, Cassandra, Kafka, Salesforce, AWS, HDFS, Big Data, Hadoop, Apache Hive, Python, and Android.
