He is responsible for handling more than 40 million searches on a daily basis as part of the Global Search and Ranking team. Amit is a computer science graduate from the National Institute of Technology Delhi and is proficient in languages like Java, Python, and C++. Amit has worked consistently on projects involving Software Engineering, Web, and SAAS. He has worked with various technologies like SpringBoot, Django, Docker, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, and Redis. As part of the Global search team, Amit has built various scalable microservices from scratch responsible for handling the current search flow at Oyo. He has also worked on optimizing the latency for various services to enhance user experience. Amit has replaced the old static filter page with a dynamic filter page that shows filters based on usage and conversion. Apart from Oyo, Amit has also worked as a Software Developer Intern at Perpule(Amazon), Bangalore. He has also worked on automating staff recon processes using Selenium and implemented an ML algorithm for classification of images as good or bad images to be applied for dating app profiles as a Machine Learning Intern at Titanic App. Amit is keen on learning new technologies and exploring things.
