Amit Gupta is a highly experienced engineering leader with over 18 years of experience in creating highly scalable teams and products. Currently serving as the Principal Group Engineering Manager at Microsoft, Amit has previously worked with Adobe and Oracle in senior engineering and management roles. Amit is a creative individual who is always looking for ways to adapt and disrupt when required. He inspires action by leading from the front and creating an inclusive and fun workplace. With extensive experience in operating highly scalable and available (4 9’s), business-critical SaaS services, Amit has a demonstrated history of creating highly scalable teams and products. At Adobe, Amit led the AEM Assets Dynamic Media and Sites teams, where he was responsible for driving the architecture, development, delivery, and operations of the service. He mentored a multi-location high-performing engineering team on DevOps and cloud practices, and led a remote SRE team with dotted line and a remote vendor team reporting to him. He also collaborated with multi-geo Research, Product, Operations, Security, Privacy, Compliance & Engineering teams to define, align, and track priorities and dependencies. Amit has a strong educational background, having completed his B.Tech in Computer Science from YMCA Institute of Engineering and Maharshi Dayanand University. He is skilled in several areas, including Senior Software Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Product Management, Research Science, and Software Engineering.
