Smart Network Switch is a new feature for proactively sensing the Wifi Channel condition and smoothly switching to other wifi Access-point (if available) or to LTE. Currently, the design phase includes analysis of Wifi and Watchdog statemachines and develop a modular design based on RSSI, Channel condition, MAC layer packet losses.

Streaming Streaming Stablizer uses multiple RATs in smartphone’s to provide better QOE in streaming (Upcoming Feature in Samsung Flagship Smartphones).
	
I.	Media framework: Design and implementation of feature(current and target bitrate information, RAT information, network speed calculation etc) and integration with HTTPserivce for progressive and HLS streaming. Introduction of new header fields in video URL to convey the information to OKHTTP.
II.	HTTPService: Necessary APIs (in java) to communicate with Media framework (C++). 
III.	Throttling LTE speed (experimantal): Decreasing the rate of ”read” at framework layer to limit the excessive use of cellular interface for cost effective streaming.

This project is basically being implemented as a feature that allows the devices to update the software version without causing any traffic loss ideally. The concept is to checkpoint the necessary data-structures and reloads the device, update the software package and then restore and reconcile the hardware and updated software. Meanwhile the upgrade, the traffic should pass in a headless fashion. The key of this project is to decide the data to be checkpointed and introduce new state machines
