Amit Kashyap is a Senior iOS Engineer at Grab, currently working in the Merchant Experience(Payments) team. He is responsible for improving the QR scanning/Top up/Payments for the same. Amit possesses an ability to take initiative and quick adaptability to changing processes and trends. Before moving to Payments, Amit worked in the Geo team of Grab which takes care of the integration, design and development of maps & location search experiences for different businesses across South East Asia. He has also worked on online Microsite where merchants can be onboarded independently which acts as a single source for Grab customers to discover GrabPay online merchants. Amit has a total of 7.61 years of relevant experience in the field of iOS, Mobile, Software Engineer, Search, Integration, Swift, and Flutter. He has worked on redesigning the search experience(Places/Location/Addresses) for different business verticals like Transport, Food & Express etc. in Grab iOS App. Amit has also developed an animation as part of his first task at Grab for F1 event in Singapore, which showcases his keen interest in animation. As part of Merchant Experience team of Payments at Grab, Amit has worked to improve customer payments experience from “Scan” through to “Payments Success” with the least number of clicks and intuitive flow backed by solid platform experience(in terms of speed of api calls, scanning libraries etc). Amit completed his Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology in 2015. Before that, he completed his Intermediate School from Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya, Surajmal Vihar in 2010 and his schooling from Rajkiya Sarvodya Bal Vidyalaya, Surajmal Vihar in 2008.
