Amit Khanna is an experienced executive leader with over 20 years of product engineering experience. He currently serves as the Head of Technology Platforms and Engineering division at Amadeus labs in Bangalore, where he is responsible for two mission-critical platforms with teams spread across France, Germany, Bangalore, and the US. These platforms include the community API platform and the travel documents and communication platform. Amit also heads the Technical Platform Engineering division of 500+ talented engineers at Amadeus BLR, responsible for delivering stable and reliable Azure cloud platform (IaaS & PaaS), Tools, Middleware’s, SRE/Devops & Security Solutions to all of the Amadeus applications. Prior to his current role, Amit led a team of 200+ engineers responsible for building bespoke e-commerce solutions, the booking flow from Search->Booking->Payment, for many Airlines, for many APAC, Europe, and US Airlines. Amit is also part of the executive group at Amadeus Labs, responsible for setting up common values, one culture, and building center maturity strategies to take the Bangalore center to the next level in the value chain. He is known for creating a customer-first vision to drive transformation through innovation and predictable execution. He has a strong bias for action to deliver desired results and building lasting relationships with customers. Amit has vast experience in the travel, digital transformation, and finance domains. He has a strong background in IT strategy, software as a service (SaaS), cloud solutions, web-scale systems, and product. He is skilled in SRE, DevOps, Azure, Search, Web, test, senior software engineer, and QA. Amit holds a Master's degree in Computer Applications from the University of Hyderabad. He has successfully implemented many ownership/maturity strategies at the India Center level and has experience in leading multiple global product lines and creating teams of high performers/leaders. Amit has worked for Amadeus for many years, serving in various roles, including Senior Director of Product Engineering, Enabling Digital Transformations for Airlines, and Senior Engineering Manager.
