Amit Kumar is a seasoned Automation Developer with almost 8 years of experience in automation testing using Python programming language. He is currently working as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at VMware, where he is involved in the automation of the vSAN product using Python as the programming language along with various tools. Amit has extensive experience in working with different VMware products like vCenter, ESXi, and vSphere. Amit is a Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence enthusiast and has knowledge of machine learning algorithms. He has worked on Python 2.7 on a Phoenix framework development exclusively for the ZCM product in Novell. He has experience in working in Agile Development model- SCRUM methodology, and has worked on daily builds, several concurrent versions, mixed Linux, Mac, and Microsoft Windows, and multiple testing environments. Apart from Test Execution, Amit has also been involved in Requirement Conception, Release Planning, Estimation, Resource Allocation, Test Design, and Status Reporting. He has experience in all types of testing, including installation, functional, non-functional, browser compatibility, regression, and system integration. Amit has excellent analytical and communication skills and is proficient in providing a detailed description of the module anomalies and defects with clear and easy steps to reproduce. Amit has worked for ZENworks Mobile Management, where he was involved in enhancing the existing framework to automate mobile-related test scenarios. He developed the Virtual agent (In-house) tool to do load tests for mobile scenarios. Amit has also shown ease in utilizing bug-tracking tools like Bugzilla for entering software defects and following up with bugs and Testopia for writing and maintaining test cases. Amit holds a Bachelor's degree in Technology (B.Tech.) in Electronics and Communications Engineering from JIS College of Engineering. He has also pursued a PG Diploma in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence from Upgrad, where he completed courses 1-4.
