Amit Lalwani is a seasoned General Manager at Samsung Electronics with over 13 years of relevant experience in setting up, leading, and managing teams in multiple native Android applications, core Java applications, and micro-finance domain-based bank disbursement applications. He believes in being positive, calm, and passionate about learning under perceived opportunities to grow professionally and personally. Amit possesses a balanced IQ, EQ, and sincerity towards assigned tasks, which can do wonders for anybody. Currently, Amit works as a General Manager at Samsung Research Institute Noida, where he coordinates with various stakeholders and ensures module development and commercialization. He is responsible for handling the full feature development delivery and maintenance of multiple Android native apps and a few Android Framework utilities. He drives the team for accomplishing assignments in the most optimized manner in terms of project schedules and expected assignments. Additionally, he plays the role of people management to get the best out of team members and maintains team motivation and interests through activities oriented towards innovation and patents. In his previous roles, Amit worked as a Development Manager, Chief Engineer, Lead Engineer, and Senior Software Engineer, where he handled various responsibilities, including cross-team communications, objective accomplishments, motivation of team members, and resolving inter-module dependent issues. He worked majorly on app domain, specifically Contact application, and worked on additional feature development and issue analysis/fixing. Amit has worked with companies like A Littleworld Pvt Ltd and Important Projects, where he developed Microfinance Domain-based mobile applications used by banks for transacting to customers in the field operations. He has also developed J2ME apps that are securely used to transact by SBI for banking operations in remote locations. Moreover, he has developed the ATT Address Book feature, which was part of the Contact application and used to sync all contacts stored at ATT server of the customer to his device and vice versa. Amit holds a Master of Computer Applications degree from RGPV and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computers from DAVV. He also holds a PGCPP degree in Patents and a Diploma in Information Technology from IGNOU.
