Amit Lopes is a seasoned software engineer with over 6 years of experience in the industry. He has a strong background in web development and has worked with a variety of modern web frameworks such as React.js, Node.js, and Express.js. Amit started his career in technology in 2009 and has since gained valuable experience working with various companies. He worked as an Assistant Manager at HDFC Bank, where he was responsible for the Oracle database upgrade and application upgrade of the bank's application. After completing his Master’s in Computer Science with a 3.7 GPA, Amit worked with a startup, OODI, where he gained knowledge in modern web frameworks. He also worked with Shiptory as a Full Stack Developer to create a responsive web application for e-commerce professionals. Amit is currently working as a Software Engineer III at Walmart, where he supports an in-house application. He is getting hands-on experience with new technologies like Kubernetes for deployments, Azure as a cloud for DB and Storage, Google Big Query, Splunk to check logs, Kafka, and event sourcing. He is also using Grafana for metrics and on-call support once every 2 months, using xMatters. Amit's technical expertise includes JavaScript, Node.js, SQL, React.js, Backbone.js, Oracle 11g, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, and Google Firebase. He has experience working with Git, BitBucket, Webpack, JIRA, Slack, SourceTree, and Visual Studio Code. He has a strong understanding of Agile SDLC and has worked with it extensively. Amit holds a Master’s Degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) from St. Francis Institute of Technology.
