Amit P. is a highly experienced senior chief engineer at Samsung Electronics with over 15 years of experience in product development. He is an expert in C, C++, C++ 11/14, scripting, Python, and Linux, with a strong hold on data structure and algorithm. Amit possesses good analytical and problem-solving skills with a mathematics background and has worked on multi-threaded, IPC, and complex legacy systems of over 80 GB. He has developed end-to-end systems individually and has worked on embedded, middleware, application layer, design pattern, and software architecture in the telecom, gaming, and TV domain platform and protocol development. Amit has exposure to automation of testing and tool development and is well-versed in OOPS, SOLID, DRY, KISS, and YAGNI. He has worked on product installation, initialization, logging, and transport, and has experience in developing features in CDMA, GSM, UMA, SIP, G2S, RS-232 protocols on the protocol side. Amit has also worked in UMA to provide seamless access to UMTS/GSM over unlicensed spectrum, i.e., WiFi. Amit is a certified SCRUM MASTER, code reviewer, and algorithm expert. He has developed complete protocol stacks for RS 232 based communication and a platform for telecom products to provide common facility (logger, IPC, initialization) to all modules. Amit has experience with cmake, ClearCase, GitHub, gunit, TDD, Perforce, svace, REST API, JIRA, and Use Case Modelling. Amit has groomed new teams and managed them to ensure the quality of products for several years. He has worked with Infinite Computer Solutions as a Tech Lead and with Aristocrat as a Team Lead. At Infinite Computer Solutions, Amit worked on client-side Alcatel-Lucent, Mobility Manager, and was responsible for bug fixing in MM area and integration testing of features. At Aristocrat, he developed a RS232 based serial communication protocol to enable communication between Gaming Machines and servers, developed G2S protocol application classes, and managed a team to ensure platform quality. Amit holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from COER and a Bachelor's degree in Science from DSB. With his relevant experience of over 18 years, Amit is an individual contributor for complex software modules and has experience in developing features using Agile methodologies.
