Amit Pareek is a seasoned Software Development Engineer IV at Flipkart with over 8 years of relevant experience. He has built software for Flipkart Customer Care and Ads Platform, and has worked on Distributed systems, Big Data, Web Services, and Machine Learning in Advertisement and Customer Experience domains. Currently, Amit is serving as the Technical Lead (Software Development Engineer IV) at Flipkart, where he is leading teams of engineers to build Flipkart Wholesale's Pricing and Offers System. He is responsible for the engineering effort to build the system from scratch, owing to a very different need for B2B as compared to B2C. He also built the accounting system for Flipkart Wholesale and contributed to bringing up Flipkart Wholesale's seller systems leveraging on already built capabilities. Prior to this, Amit worked as a Software Development Engineer III and II at Flipkart, where he was a founding member of a very small team working in startup mode to build a new business opportunity for Flipkart: B2B. He also worked on building a Machine Learning pipeline to optimize ML models powering content on Flipkart Homepage and Product Pages. Additionally, he worked in the Big Data team of Flipkart Ads Platform, where he used technologies like MapReduce, Hive, Sqoop, Crunch, Kafka, Storm, HBase, HCatalog, and Spark to work on various projects like FlipScore, Audience Targeting, Centralized Flipkart-wide platform to create audience sets, Ads on 3rd party publishers, and Attribution Platform. Amit is an alumnus of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), where he completed his Bachelor's degree in Engineering in 2015. He has expertise in Software Engineering, Senior Software Engineering, ML, Big Data, Web, Spark, MapReduce, Kafka, and Apache Hive.
