Amit Prajapati is a Scientific Officer at the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, Government of India. He completed his Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Roorkee in 2019. With a passion for learning, Amit has developed a diverse skillset through his academic and professional experience. During his time at IIT Roorkee, Amit learned core mechanical courses and expanded his knowledge to include aerodynamics of formula cars, software related to modeling like AutoCAD, Solidworks, Solidedge, and simulation software like Ansys, COMSOL, and SimScale. He also pursued Machine Learning/Data Science courses online and gained hands-on experience in Python and R languages. After completing his B.Tech, Amit worked for Maruti Suzuki India Limited for almost 1.5 years, where he was part of the Designer Team in the Automation Engineering Department. He designed mechanisms and machines with the help of AutoCAD and SolidEdge by doing all the design calculations manually. During this time, Amit also cracked GATE 2020 with AIR 250, which helped him land at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre Training School. At BARC training school, Amit went through research-based coursework training related to Nuclear Power Plant. After completing the 9-month training, he received a diploma certificate in Nuclear Engineering and was finally posted as Group A Gazetted Officer in Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB). In his current role, Amit is responsible for ensuring the use of ionizing radiation and nuclear energy in India does not cause undue risk to the health of people and the environment. Amit's educational background includes a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Roorkee and a High School degree from Assumption Public School, Barahalganj, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. He also completed his Intermediate (CBSE) from St. Xavier Public School, Taramandal, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Amit's tech stack includes Research Scientist, Python, ML, Data Scientist, and designer. He has a relevant experience of 3.18 years. Amit's dedication to learning and his diverse skillset make him a valuable asset to any organization.
