Amit Rai is an experienced Software Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the Information technology & Services industry. He has a B.Tech in Computer Science from VIT Vellore and is currently working as a Software Engineer II at Mastercard. With 8.45 years of relevant experience, Amit is skilled in Full Stack Development with a good grasp on Java, Python, Core Data Structures & Algorithms, REST API & Databases. At Mastercard, Amit is responsible for end-to-end development of customer-facing B2B applications. Prior to Mastercard, Amit worked at HSBC as a Software Engineer where he was responsible for the development of frontend screens, enhancements of existing journeys & increasing user friendliness in terms of accessibility in HSBC’s internet banking. He was also responsible for the cloud migration of Internet Banking to AWS from on-prem servers, building libraries to optimize the application according to AWS/On-prem servers at runtime, and setting up CI/CD pipelines. Amit proactively participated in performing code reviews, identifying design flaws, improving code maintenance practices, mentoring fellow teammates, interacting with business stakeholders, technical design documentation & leading a team of developers from time to time. He played a key role in driving the e2e design & development of Payment Tracker feature in SFE system for international transactions and led a successful POC on integrating AI & FB messenger in optimizing call centers & branch operations while increasing customer satisfaction & convenience.
