Amit Rana is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 3 years of experience in the field. He is currently working as a Software Engineer I at Cadence Design Systems, where he is part of the Verification IP R&D team. His work involves developing foundation technology for the team. Previously, Amit worked as a Product Validation Intern at Allegro Ops, SPB Group, also at Cadence Design Systems. His role involved manual and regression testing of EDA tools such as System Capture, DE-HDL, Allegro, and automation using TCL and shell scripting. He also developed a framework to check the performance of different customer designs on the tool and to develop TCL scripts to automate performance numbers calculations. He ensured that the customer requirements were met as per the requirements stated by them in Cadence Change Management System. Amit holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from YMCA University of Science and Technology. During his time at the university, he was the secretary of Microbird-electronics society, where he managed and led various team projects, conducted robotics competitions, and workshops in collaboration with IITs to boost technical interest among students. Apart from his professional and academic achievements, Amit has completed 7 months of internship in Electrical design team at Jacobs engineering group inc., Gurgaon, where he worked on projects from both Indian and foreign clients. He planned and designed electrical power systems on computer-aided design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and DiaLux. Amit's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Frontend, and Test.
