Amit Rana is a highly experienced Senior Director of Engineering with over 14 years of experience in building high-scale internet applications. He has spent the last 7 years in people management and is currently managing a talented set of teams responsible for Myntra's API Platform, web platform, and checkout platform. Amit has worked with a wide range of technologies including React, Android and iOS app development, NodeJS, HaProxy, Apache, Linux, MySQL, Java, PHP, Python, JavaScript, XML, XHTML, CSS, PostgreSQL, and jQuery. He has also gained expertise in performance, scale, web application administration, and web security. At Myntra, Amit has held several leadership positions, including Director of Engineering and Associate Director. In his role as Director of Engineering, Amit was responsible for Myntra's API Platform, working with technical counterparts to define the platform and enable multi-tenant constructs to support Myntra and Jabong. He also built the platform for forward and backward compatibility to enable seamless onboarding for Myntra. As Associate Director, Amit built the Look Good Platform for enabling personalized engagement framework. He developed the platform to enable a personalized feed on the homepage and used machine learning to build user affinity graphs. He also managed the scale of feed generation and worked with architects and product teams to define the framework layers and architect them. Amit has a B.Tech in Computer Science from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology and completed his schooling at St. Mary School. His tech stack includes senior software engineering, web, mobile, ML, iOS, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, Android, NodeJS, Python, and Java.
