Amit Shinde is a seasoned Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with over 11 years of experience in the e-commerce and media domains. He is currently working at Roku's new Tech Hub, where he specializes in Interactive TV, HbbTV, TV Stream, IPTV, TV Apps, DVB, and OTT. Amit has a solid background in Web, Mobile, and TV Platform Testing, and is proficient in using Selenium and Cucumber for software testing. In his previous role at Mindtree, Amit served as a Test Specialist and Senior Software Engineer. He was responsible for driving E2E test activities, involved in Test Planning, Test Case Designing and Test execution, bug regression, and status reporting. He also led a team of 30+ members for complete test activities, status tracking, meeting deadlines, sign off, Postmortem reports, and Quarterly Business Review reports, and presenting to stakeholders. Amit's expertise in testing involves Smoke Test, Functional Testing, Ad-hoc testing, UI, Regression Testing, and he is well-versed in reviewing and analyzing Business Requirement Documents, Functional Spec Documents, and Technical Spec Documents to identify design defects early in the life cycle. He has onboarded new devices like TV, STB, Streamer like Virgin Media, Roku, SKY, YouView, PlayStation, and Google for TV certification for BBC app testing. He has also tested apps under different networks and Wi-Fi on different TV, STB, or Streamer. Amit holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology from Walchand College of Engineering (A Govt. Aided Autonomous Institute), SANGLI-M.S. He has a strong tech stack that includes test, qa, Selenium, Mobile, Web, designer, Java, Jenkins, ui, and Software Engineer. Amit is an Agile/Scrum enthusiast and has managed all testing efforts throughout the project lifecycle in an Agile/Scrum environment. He is an excellent communicator and collaborates effectively with on/offshore teams to meet deliverable deadlines for all release cycles. Amit is also proficient in preparing Test Summary Reports, Sending Test Deliverables, and providing test sign-off at the end of every release/milestone.
