Amit Singh is a seasoned Engineering Manager with over 16 years of experience in the internet industry. Currently serving as a Sr. Manager of Engineering at Expedia Group, he possesses a diverse skillset that includes Agile Methodologies, AWS, Linux (RHCE), Atlassian toolset, and Perl. Amit has a proven track record of successful project management using agile methodologies, mainly Scrum. He specializes in developing and executing automated solutions and tools to monitor and support software development and release processes. Additionally, he has extensive experience supporting high availability applications, identifying complex problems, and developing work-around solutions and resolutions. In his current role, Amit is leading the EngOps team at Expedia, which owns Enterprise tools and resolves end-user queries related to these tools, customizing them as per business needs. He is also responsible for automation around these tools to make them more self-service and efficient. Amit's achievements include migrating various applications from data centers to AWS, ensuring minimum downtime, and minimizing user impact during migrations. He has also utilized Chef as a configuration management tool and Cloud Formation to build stacks in AWS, minimizing human effort and reducing the chances of error. Prior to his current role, Amit served as a Manager of Engineering and Operations at Expedia, where he led his team in resolving end-user queries, doing customization as per business needs, and automation around the tools to make them more self-service and efficient. Amit holds a Master's degree in Computer Applications from Uttar Pradesh Technical University and a Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths from R.R.S.V.M. Dhampur.
