Amit Sridharan is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with over 20 years of relevant experience in enterprise software and venture capital. He is the Founding General Partner at First Rays Venture Partners, a seed stage investment firm that specializes in enterprise infrastructure software themes around cloud, edge, data, security, and developer tools. Amit has led investments in several successful startups, including Enya.ai, Blitzz.io, and Docyt. Before joining First Rays, Amit was the Head of US Investments at Mahindra Ventures, a Series A fund that focused on enterprise software. He has also worked as an Investor at Pear VC and Spruce Capital Partners, where his portfolio included investments in Avaamo, Cloudleaf, Scoot, Paid Labs, and Pear Technology. Amit has a Management degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he graduated as the Robert Joss Scholar. He has also pioneered industry-leading research out of Stanford University on Corporate Venture Capital. In 2019, he was named one of the Top 100 corporate venture capital professionals by Global Corporate Venturing. Apart from his extensive experience in venture capital, Amit has over 12 years of experience as an operator in enterprise software across diverse areas ranging from cloud-native technologies, enterprise security, IoT, DevOps, smart manufacturing, and robotics. Amit works closely with entrepreneurs and teams in portfolio companies to drive growth. His passion for venture investing in early-stage companies is driven by his belief in backing the founder's vision in building businesses from fundamentals, investing in technology that impacts disruptive innovation in the new software stack, and understanding the go-to-market that innovators will need to operate and be successful in the changing world. Currently, Amit serves as an Investor and Board Director at Arnica.io. He has also held similar positions at Peritus.ai and Dendron in the past.
