Amit Srivastava is a skilled Backend Engineer with over 10 years of relevant experience in software engineering. He is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Flyhomes, where he is responsible for designing, developing and testing a new data ingestion module of their data pipeline. Amit's expertise lies in Python, AWS, SaaS, and backend development. Prior to joining Flyhomes, Amit worked as a Senior Technical Lead at NEC Corporation, where he led a team of two developers to develop an IVR-based Callback Service for NEC Univerge Blue from scratch. He also contributed to low-level designs and effort estimation for tasks with his manager. Additionally, Amit developed RESTful APIs using Django Rest Framework, MongoDB, and deployed them in AWS ECS (docker). He used JMeter and Neoload for performance testing and Jenkins for build and deployment. Amit's experience also includes working as an Associate Software Engineer at Amadeus, where he was part of the Hotel Feeds team that managed data pipelines for a SaaS hotel management app. He developed event-driven microservices using Python to aggregate and send reservation, pricing, and inventory data to their customers. Amit tested microservices using Postman and JMeter for performance tests.
