Amit Sukhpal is a Senior Backend/Server Engineer at Shopee, with a passion for solving technical issues. He has almost 5 years of experience in the field of software engineering and has worked with multiple companies, including Works Applications Co., Ltd. where he held the position of Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead. At Works Applications, Amit led a team focused on developing Shipment and Export Management subsystems of the Supply Chain Management Product. He also refactored an entire subsystem to break it into two separate services and proactively handled a development environment to support 50 odd developers on a daily basis. Additionally, Amit has experience working with Kafka Connect for syncing data across multiple middlewares. Amit has a Master of Computing (MComp) degree in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Engineering from Thadomal Shahani Engineering College. He has also completed his High School education from Kendriya Vidyalaya ONGC Panvel, Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Powai, Mumbai, and Kendriya Vidyalaya SAC Vastrapur, Ahmedabad. Amit's tech stack includes Backend, Software Engineering, MySQL, Spring, Java, AngularJS, and Kafka. He is a problem solver at heart and loves to dig into technical issues to find solutions for them. Amit is currently working at Shopee as a Senior Engineer, where he continues to hone his skills and contribute to the development of the company's products.
