Amit Verma is a data science expert with over 6 years of experience in econometric modeling, algorithm development, and machine learning methodologies. He is a meticulous and result-oriented professional who has a proven track record of setting up the data science function for a PSU company. Currently, he is working as a Senior Software Engineer - Machine Learning at Orange Business Services. Amit is proficient in deploying multiple algorithms and techniques such as the k-NN algorithm, multivariate regression, sentiment analysis, etc. to create products that deliver a direct impact on the bottom line of organizations. He has worked on various projects, including prediction of net energy generation and costing, loan disbursement, and created machine learning models with Python and Scikit learn. He has also used different Feature Selection methods for the model, maintaining the model with the new guidelines as per the changes in the Generation Based Incentive scheme. Additionally, he has created customized reports in Tableau for data visualization. Amit has previously worked as a Junior Data Scientist at the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited, where he created machine learning models to predict net green energy generation and calculation in the percentage depreciation value of commissioned machinery. He has also worked on loan disbursement and analyzed large datasets of data to provide strategic direction. Before that, Amit worked as a Technical Support Engineer at IT Cons E-Solution Pvt Ltd, where he ensured that all production databases are running efficiently 24/7.
