He has a background in leading cross-functional global teams to provide digital transformation, data-driven customer experience, and best-in-class eCommerce services. He is adept at devising product/technology roadmaps and orchestrating the development/deployment of replicable, measurable processes. Amitabh has a credible history of prioritizing, spearheading, and executing global IT projects across e-commerce, fraud, cloud, travel, payments, checkout and cart, security, compliance, gift cards, and SaaS domains. He has a track record of delivering center of excellence at several Fortune 100 companies for enterprise application, business-to-business integration, and real-time monitoring centers. He has a signature accomplishment in designing and delivering world-class fraud detection decision engine by architecting highly available platform services, high scale storage solutions, data pipelines to process petabytes of data, computing 3K+ complex features in milliseconds, training and executing hundreds of models, thousands of rules to make split-second risk decisions. Amitabh is currently the Vice President Technology, eCommerce at Expedia, leading a global team of 500+ in technology, product, machine learning, data, and human intelligence. He is delivering SaaS platform for Travel, APIs, and technology platform for world-class fraud detection for identity, supplier, marketplace, and payment fraud. He has also piloted the design of a technology platform scaling 5000tps+, conducting fuzzy name matching at the scale including distance/phonetic matching and language transliteration, with predictable latency of 200ms tp99, stateless services with no single point of failures. Amitabh has a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Instrumentation from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya. He also has a High School degree in Maths and Science from Bhilai SSS X.
