Amitabh Misra is a Vice President of Engineering at Adobe, where he is responsible for leading a global R&D organization of 800+ product engineers in India, Europe, and the US. He is passionate about making everyday life better through technology and has over 20 years of relevant experience in the industry. At Adobe, Amitabh drives roadmap execution and strategy for multiple product areas of Adobe Experience Cloud with $3.8B+ in annual revenue. He manages multiple Senior Director, Directors, Principal Scientists running AI/ML Lab and products including Campaign, Journey Optimizer, Marketo, AEM Assets, Forms, Site, Dynamic Media, AEP (Adobe Experience Platform). He led Customer Journey Management product transformation to a modern cloud-native, distributed application that drives personalization at TB scale. Before joining Adobe, Amitabh founded and served as CEO of gofro, a 3-WAY online marketplace for holiday travelers. He scaled the business to 100 Cr+ annual revenue at a positive contribution margin net of marketing and raised $10+ Million in venture capital. He built a 150+ strong team of veterans of Indian consumer internet space and a cutting-edge technology platform that integrated travelers, suppliers, destination experts, CRM, and payments in one place, making the complex task of creating itineraries super-efficient. The platform supported a network of 800+ destination expert, 200+ global suppliers, 50k+ itineraries. Amitabh also served as CTO, Chief Architect, Head of Engineering at Snapdeal, where he built one of India's largest online marketplace platforms that handled billion-dollar+ annual business and a 600+ tech team from scratch in a short time of three years, even as business growth peaked to 600%+ yoy. Snapdeal was India's first cloud-native, fully distributed, and horizontally scalable commerce platform built using development best practices of devops, SREs, agile, test-driven development, etc. Amitabh holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, a Center for Professional Development from Stanford University, and a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IIT.
