Amitabh Shrivastava is a seasoned venture capitalist, angel investor, serial entrepreneur, and senior executive with over three decades of experience in the industry. Currently serving as the Managing Partner at July Ventures LLP, Amitabh has participated in several deal cycles from investments to exits, with multiple returns. He is well-networked in the entrepreneurial eco-system on both the sell and buy-side. Amitabh has co-founded four entrepreneurial ventures, including three successful exits. He has raised investments from institutional investors, HNIs, and self. He is actively involved with R&D and academic institutions to commercialize deep science & technology IP. Amitabh is a member of the Technical Advisory Committee of the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC, India). Amitabh has been a senior executive with large MNCs and has "intra-preneurially" built greenfield businesses in several new geographies, new product lines, etc. He has been a Managing Partner at the IAN Fund and a member of the Indian Angel Network (between 2008 and 2020). He has led a major nation-building initiative (2012 to 2017) by the name of CSIR-Tech Private Limited to commercialize IP from Indian R&D institutions through technology transfer/licensing, and through a Lab-to-Market venture fund, called Indian Science Venture Fund - a first of its kind in India. Amitabh has a B.Tech (Mechanical) degree from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Bombay, and Walchand College of Engineering (a govt. aided autonomous institute), Sangli-M.S. He completed his SSC from St. Francis de Sales High School, Nagpur. Amitabh has relevant experience of 37.46 years and is a Research Scientist by profession. Currently, Amitabh is associated with July Ventures LLP as the Managing Partner. July Ventures is a rainmaker and investor in early-stage ventures. In the past, Amitabh has worked with Indian Angel Network and Indian Science Venture Fund and CSIR-Tech Pvt Ltd as the Founder, CEO & Managing Director. He has successfully managed the expectations of a very active board of directors of the company, which included many eminent personalities and Padma awardees.
