Amitesh Mahajan is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer at 8x8, with a Master’s degree in Computer Science. He has worked in a variety of disciplines, including storage systems, micro service architecture, distributed systems, automation, and data analytics. Amitesh enjoys system level programming the most, followed by data and distributed technologies. Currently, Amitesh is working as a Software Engineer in Tools and Infrastructure, where he is responsible for designing and developing an internal web portal that provides component health metrics, service uptime, production and pilot platform health. He has also developed, controlled, and customized nine REST APIs, RESTful Java server with Spring, and a thick client with AngularJS. Additionally, he has designed and developed Java 8 cloud Spring Boot Microservices, created CICD pipelines in Jenkins for continuous deployment of the latest build artifacts on multiple platforms, and assisted the QA team in creating a cucumber-based Java framework from scratch to test the APIs and web application automation. Amitesh has also worked on creating various log rotation and cleanup scripts using a shell script to maintain disk space and log management in numerous VM within the organization. His research area includes developing an AI engine to analyze the data generated by the simulated reactor model and predict the optimal solute concentrations to attain the best reactor performance. Amitesh’s technical skills include Java, Python, Bash, Spring Boot, Selenium, Maven, TestNG, JAVAFX, HTML, CSS, JSP, Bootstrap, AngularJS, AWS, SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, NoSQL, Apache Storm, Apache Kafka, Hadoop, Tableau, Rapid Miner, IntelliJ Idea, GIT, Excel, NetBeans, JIRA, Sourcetree, Salesforce CRM, SVM, and Jprofiler. Prior to his current role, Amitesh worked as a Java developer and data specialist at Utah State University and an Associate Software Engineer at Impetus. Amitesh holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Utah State University, a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Science from Medi-Caps Institute of Technology & Management Rau, Indore, and completed his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya Indore. Overall, Amitesh has 7.78 years of relevant experience in software engineering, research, and big data technologies.
