Amith K K is a Senior Innovation Engineer at Unisys, with a passion for creating delightful user and operational experiences by efficiently applying the right tools and leveraging existing open source libraries. With over 3 years of relevant experience, Amith has developed a variety of Prototypes and PoCs end-to-end around emerging technologies such as Distributed Ledgers, Digital Identity, IoT, AI/ML, and more. Amith is proficient with the cloud native stack, having architected and developed several microservices following the 12 factor app philosophy of designing for observability, continuous integration/deployment, and scalability. He is also well versed in utilizing Kubernetes and cloud native services to achieve cost-effective, secure, and highly available deployments. On the frontend, Amith has made apps with React, Angular, and Vue that interact with various middleware and backend services written in Node JS, GoLang, Rust, Java, and Python. The interfaces that he has built range from simple REST APIs to real-time WebSocket/WebRTC channels. Often times these services were designed as mockups on software like Figma and Adobe XD, collaborating with teams by utilizing the Design Thinking methodology. He has also dabbled in embedded systems programming using C++/Rust, with a fair understanding of accounting for restricted runtime environments. At Unisys, Amith has been part of the innovation team whose agenda is to drive and direct innovation across the whole organization. As part of this group, he has had the opportunity to drive several prototypes/PoCs as well as helping orchestrate organization-wide efforts like tech talks and lab environments. In his free time, Amith enjoys contributing to open source, tinkering with electronics, and discovering new emerging technologies. He has participated and won in various hackathons and project competitions working in a team (such as Smart India Hackathon 2017/2018/2019, Unisys Cloud 20/20, and Smart Odisha Hackathon). Amith holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer and Information Sciences, General from Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology. His past experiences include working as an Engineer (Blockchain/IoT) and an Engineer - (Blockchain/DevOps) at Unisys, where he completed the Unisys Cloud 20/20 project on Supply Chain Management with BaaS (Blockchain as a Service) by extending the existing Monolithic Ethereum Infrastructure created during the Hackathon to a Microservice-Based Approach that is backed by both
