Amith RK is a result-driven Senior IT professional with over 12+ years of rich experience in Strategic Transformation, IT & Cloud Infrastructure, Program Management, Service Delivery, Process Integration & Operations. He is currently working as an Engineering Manager for vmware's Cloud Operations Team for Technicolor’s Public Cloud workloads. In his current role, Amith is responsible for recruiting and setting up a competency team of multi-cloud specialists for performing day-to-day operations on Public Clouds (Azure, AWS & GCP). He is also responsible for setting up Run Books, implementing industry best practices, and supporting Technicolor’s cloud resources 24/7. Amith manages the full Cloud Lifecycle, Provisioning, Automation, and Security. He also sets up and administers multi-tier computer system environments, establishes metrics, monitors & risk mitigation strategies, optimizes resources, and works on resource tagging to share the cost and plan for budgeting and reporting. Amith has experience in migrating existing on-premise cloud resources to Public Cloud and recommending Cloud Strategies to Management and Enterprise Architects. He is skilled in implementing, re-engineering, and designing Cloud Resources based on broader Cloud Strategies. Before joining vmware, Amith worked as an End User Support Specialist and vCloud Air Engineer for the same company. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Programming, Specific Applications from ssmrv college - India. Amith has a diverse skill set and is proficient in Senior Software Engineering, AWS, Azure, infra, Integration, GCP, Research Scientist, SRE, test, DevOps, CI/CD, MongoDB, Microservices, and Mobile.
