Amitosh Swain Mahapatra is a full-stack developer, conference speaker, and open-source contributor from Bangalore, India. With over 4 years of relevant experience, he has been conjuring code since 2010. He has created and contributed to several open-source projects using Java, Go, NodeJS, and Python. Amitosh has worked with the FOSSi Foundation as part of the Google Summer of Code, 2017, and the Fedora Project as part of the Google Summer of Code, 2018. He is an active contributor to Fedora Project, FOSSi foundation, Elastic, and numerous other open-source projects. Currently working as a Software Engineer at Toplyne, Amitosh has previously worked with Gojek as a Product Engineer and Software Engineering Intern. During his tenure at Gojek, he worked with GoPay in building a scalable and resilient payments system. He designed and developed low latency and high throughput microservices for handling transactions, migrated microservices from legacy VM-based infrastructure to Istio running over Kubernetes, and worked on the rewrite of the GoPay payment state management system in modern Java in handling distributed transactions. Amitosh has a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from Odisha University of Technology and Research. His tech stack includes Javascript, NodeJS, Microservices, ReactJS, Kubernetes, SQL, AWS, Perceptron, Parts-of-speech, Data Warehouse, Docker, Tensorflow, Neural Networks, PHP, Kafka, and UI. Amitosh is passionate about building scalable and maintainable code for transaction processing and API layer, developing microservices to handle transaction states, and building REST APIs for integrating with external merchants and service providers. He is a computer whisperer who loves to conjure code and contribute to open-source projects.
