Amlan Gourav is a seasoned Operations Manager with over 5 years of experience in Project Management, Vendor Management, Supply Chain Management, Compliance, Quality Management, and International Onboarding. He is currently working as an Operations Manager- Compliance Quality at Amazon, leading Quality Operations for WW Restricted Products Compliance. Amlan is responsible for reducing Compliance risk for Amazon by establishing QC for various compliance processes, creating and implementing Statistical models to improve catalog health, and pro-active error reduction. Before joining Amazon, Amlan worked as a Quality Assurance Manager- Compliance and an Account Manager- International Expansion at Amazon, where he led a team of highly skilled Audit and Quality Improvement Analysts to improve the accuracy of WW Dangerous Goods, Chemical Safety Compliance, and Globally Harmonized Systems. As an Account Manager, he expanded the Vendor Success Program for management of Tier-2 & Tier-3 vendors in Canada, Australia, and India, created SOPs, established processes for Vendor recruitment, Product Selection, and instock management, launched the first mass vendor management-Assortment process in Amazon, and managed the team, hiring and developing resources. Amlan is a Six Sigma Black Belt and holds an MBA from IIT Madras, where he studied Business Administration, Management, Strategy, Finance, and Operations. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Management Center Innsbruck, where he studied Strategy, Innovation Management, Branding, Negotiation & Communication. Amlan has a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering from C.V. Raman College of Engineering, BPUT. Amlan's technical skills include ML and QA, and he has relevant experience of 8.12 years. He is a proactive professional who has worked on establishing and leading process improvement and developing statistical ML models. Amlan is a creative thinker who has also studied Fine/Studio Arts, General, from Prachin Kala Kendra.
