Amlan Rath is a Software Development Engineer III at Embibe, with over 11 years of relevant experience. He is a problem-solver who always looks for an easier, smarter, or quicker way to do things. In his role in the Data Engineering team at Hopscotch, he was responsible for developing an in-house solution for analytical data storage and easy consumption of the same by the analytics and the business team. He has evaluated various solutions for the same and has combined Apache Druid and Apache Superset for their usage, with extremely good results. In his role as a Software Developer, he took up new tasks to improve the mobile website and desktop website experience for the consumers, improve the internal portal used at Hopscotch warehouse team, and take care of many of the complicated SQL related tasks that pop up time to time. Amlan holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology. He also studied at Kendriya Vidyalaya.
