Amod Dani is a seasoned Managing Director with over 25 years of experience in the technology industry. Currently, he is the Managing Director of India Engineering & Operations at Arista Networks, where he oversees the development of complex systems software and networking protocol development. Amod has a strong background in Layer 2/ Layer 3 networking protocols for Data Center Networking products and Storage Area Networking, Fibre Channel, FCoE. Throughout his career, Amod has held various leadership positions, including Director of Software Engineering at Arista and Brocade. At Brocade, he played a pivotal role in setting up a strong engineering team, strategizing the overall growth of Brocade India, and establishing key functions such as HR, recruitment, compensation & benefits, and engineering operations/infrastructure. He also led a large cross-functional team that participated in the development of first-generation data center networking technologies such as CEE/FCoE and SAN/Fabric OS. Some of the key contributions by this team include Brocade 8000 CEE/FCoE switch, FCoE10-24 linecard for DCX/DCX-4S chassis based platforms, BR 8740 CEE/FCoE embedded switching module for IBM BladeCenter (BCH/BCHT) platforms, and VDX 6720 series switches, which are part of Brocade's new Virtual Cluster Switching (VCS) technology for cloud-optimized networking.
