Amol Mejari is a dedicated programmer with over four years of experience in building web backend applications that run in a distributed system. He is highly passionate about programming and enjoys collaborating on system designs. In his free time, Amol likes to explore computer science fundamentals, learn about other areas in the field, solve coding challenges, and read fiction books. Currently, Amol works as a Product Engineer at gojek, where he is responsible for driving end-to-end engineering for some of the product requirements in 'GoFood Discounting'. He is involved in deciding approaches, creating independently executable stories, and implementation. Amol has also carried out system upgrades on live infrastructure. Previously, Amol worked as a Software Engineer at OYO, where he built some of the microservices in the company's backend ecosystem, including the referral engine, event-based gaming platform, and tiered subscription program called Wizard. His tech stack included Java, Spring Boot, Ruby on Rails, Redis, Postgres, MongoDB, and more. Amol also worked as a Student Developer at Google Summer of Code, where he designed and built a native android application for an event management system called Open Event. He worked with Android SDK and SQLite. Amol holds a B Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT BHU, Varanasi, and an All India Senior School Certificate Examination from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Ratnagiri. His relevant experience in the field amounts to 5.11 years.
