Amrit Anand is a seasoned equity investment professional with over 12 years of experience in product development, management, and research. He specializes in factor research and passive investing, quantitative and thematic equity research, data analytics and statistical modeling, portfolio analysis, people management, business planning, training and development, and team building. Currently, Amrit is the Head of Research at Flippy, where he is building Flippyverse. Prior to this, he worked at Goldman Sachs as a Vice President and Associate. At Goldman Sachs, Amrit led the development of "Quantamental" research ideas using statistical techniques and GS proprietary 'Investment Profiling' factor model. He also co-authored thematic research reports on Input cost inflation and its impact across industries and stocks, identified stocks with pricing power and pressure, and ran a live tradable basket of stocks with high exposure to Oil as % COGS. Amrit was also a member of the regional leadership team involved in business planning and led the Bengaluru Campus hire orientation and analyst training efforts for the division. Amrit holds an Integrated M.Sc. degree in Statistics and Informatics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He is a research scientist and has a strong tech stack.
