Amrit Bhat is a Data Scientist with a Master's degree in Data Science from the University of Washington. He is currently working as a Graduate Research Assistant at the university, where he is utilizing Machine Learning and Social Signal Processing techniques to identify implicit bias in patient-provider communication during interactions with patients who are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and/or have a marginalized gender identity or sexual orientation (LGBTQ+). Amrit has a passion for building data-intensive implementations that assist humans positively. He has gained experience in translating business problems into analytical questions and in that process devises end-to-end data-centric solutions that have empowered organizations. He enjoys the process of researching technical/non-technical topics, connecting the dots between people-business-data, and communicating analysis and recommendations to stakeholders systematically. Amrit is proficient in Data Science methods such as Natural Language Processing, Predictive Modeling, Machine Learning (Supervised and Unsupervised), Hypothesis Testing, A/B Testing, Experimentation, Data Visualization, Analytics, and Optimization. He is also skilled in programming languages like Python, R, Java, SQL, MongoDB, Unix, and Perl. He has worked with libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Seaborn, TensorFlow, SciPy, and Interpretable ML. Additionally, he is familiar with tools like Excel, Tableau, Git, Flask, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, DevOps, AWS, Big Data (Spark, MapReduce, Hadoop, Snowflake), and Neural Networks. Amrit has worked as a Business Analyst and Analyst at Analyttica, where he automated routing of patient tickets to the correct support team, tuned a priority support ticket classification system, created a POC to predict customer churn & lifetime value for Rewards Network, orchestrated 200+ state-of-the-art statistical analysis & machine learning techniques using Python & R for Analyttica’s proprietary B2B product, and led a team of 8 in creating end-to-end ML & AI business case studies spanning several industry verticals. Amrit is fascinated by the idea of artificial intelligence inspired by human intelligence and enjoys every discussion, theory, or even movie related to this idea. He intends to utilize his problem-solving skills and technical background to be a facilitator of socially responsible, simple yet effective solutions to make a difference.
