Amrita Nambiar is a dynamic problem solver, community builder, and technology consultant with a passion for solving problems using tech. She is currently serving as an Associate Technology Consultant (Data & Analytics) at EY. Amrita is also the lead for GDG Cloud KL, where she leads a tech community to create opportunities for developers interested in cloud computing, ML/AI, and Google technologies. Her efforts have benefitted over 2887 developers, and she has increased the engagement of women developers in the community by 40% over 6 months by featuring more female speakers, hosting empowering sessions, and collaborating with other communities. Amrita is a recent graduate of the University of Malaya, where she majored in AI. During her studies, she founded DSC Malaysia and DSC University of Malaya, leading over 30 events in areas such as machine learning, app development, and cloud computing. Over this period, more than 3100 participants attended her events, out of which about 40% were first-time programmers. Her major interests are in NLP and ML. Amrita has a strong track record of success, having worked with Google Developers as a Google Developer Group (GDG) Cloud KL Lead and as a Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) Global Alumni Core Team member. She has worked closely with Google Developers to build and grow student tech communities globally to help bridge the gap between theory and practice. Amrita was also invited by Google to represent over 700 DSC leads globally for the “Become a DSC Lead” webinar, which gained over 3100 views. Amrita is highly skilled in ML, AI, and NLP and has 1.68 years of relevant experience. Her passion lies in helping others reach their full potential and solving problems using tech. She is a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and leadership skills. Amrita is a valuable asset to any team and is always ready to take on new challenges.
