Amritha Haridasan is a Research Scientist with a strong background in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Natural Language Processing (NLP). She is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas, Austin, and working as a Graduate Research Assistant at Texas McCombs School of Business. Amritha has over two years of relevant experience in the field of AI and Automation Research & Development. She has worked as an Associate Engineer at Litmus7, where she conceptualized and implemented several NLP models with ML algorithms, incorporating embedding techniques like BERT and USE, and Topic modeling on customer reviews using LDA, Lda2vec. She has also collaborated in developing and organizing customized AI frameworks from scratch as part of product development and built an automated training-testing pipeline for the same. Amritha has successfully developed and deployed the FLAIR model for Named Entity Recognition, thereby improving the speed and relevance of search results and recommendations in e-commerce engines. She has also performed exploratory data analysis and generated reports and visualizations to represent customer re-engagement statistics. In addition to her industry experience, Amritha has also worked as a Summer Research Fellow at CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI), where she proposed and built a new AI and ML-based Medical Image Analysis methodology for the detection, segmentation, classification, and prediction of Alzheimer’s Disease utilizing first-order statistical features and over 100 radiomics features in 3D brain Magnetic Resonance images. Amritha holds a Bachelor of Technology (with Honours) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IIIT and has completed her Science education from Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode. She is proficient in several technologies, including AI, BERT, ML, NLP, and Search. Overall, Amritha is a highly skilled and motivated Research Scientist with a strong background in AI and ML. She has a proven track record of conceptualizing and implementing innovative solutions to complex problems and is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in her field.
