Amroj Sandhu is an experienced Lead Engineer with a strong background in website development using Java, Python, and AWS technologies. With over 6 years of extensive hands-on experience, he is currently working as a Lead Software Engineer at Spinny, Gurgaon. He is an accomplished team leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Amroj has worked with some of the leading tech companies in the industry, including Expedia and Snapdeal. During his tenure at Expedia, he worked as an SDE II, where he was responsible for managing and securing cloud resources for the company. He led a team of three to design and plan the release of a Secure-by-default AMI for Expedia Group, which is now being used across 450 AWS accounts. He also single-handedly migrated the data pipeline for the security team at EG, which included Elasticsearch, Athena, and Kafka services with 4 billion events following each day at a size of around 4 TB. Additionally, he designed and built a lightweight search tool for Security Analysts from scratch, contributing to a design proposal for the tool, setting up Elasticsearch and the backend of the search engine. In his role as a Senior Backend Engineer at Birdeye, Amroj was responsible for facilitating posting/analytics across Social Networks for an online reputation management company. He built automated integrations with different Social platforms to provide real-time analytics and posting for 60k businesses. He also revamped the lead generation system that was used to send millions of emails each day, reducing the time for sending a lead campaign (1M emails) from 12 mins to 5 mins. Amroj holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Surat.
