Amrut Nagasunder is a Co-Founder at Aranyakam Ventures with a focus on exploring various opportunities in food, agriculture, and other sectors with a strong focus on sustainably improving the quality of life for people in rural areas of India. With 8.87 years of relevant experience, he has a strong background in Machine Learning and Data Science. Amrut has experience in creating strategy and driving high-performance teams to deliver quality products. His specialties include strategic planning, product innovation, new product development, machine learning research, and scalable software architecture. Prior to his current role, Amrut worked as a Product Manager at MindMeld, Inc, where he drove product strategy and product roadmaps of all their products, reporting directly to the CEO. He also worked directly with a number of customers, most of which are high-profile Fortune 500 companies based in the US and Asia. At Cisco, he was involved in strategic M&A for various Enterprise AI initiatives. Amrut's experience also includes working as a Senior Software Engineer at Netflix, where he developed a variety of Machine Learning algorithms and architected backend systems for serving personalized movies/TV-show recommendations to all Netflix customers. During his time there, Netflix grew from 30 million to ~ 90 million customers in a span of 3 years. Amrut holds a MS degree in Computational Data Science, specializing in Machine Learning from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.Tech degree in Information Technology from National Institute of Technology Karnataka. He also holds a Mathematics and Computer Science degree from National Public School. Amrut's tech stack includes ML, AI, Data Scientist, Research Scientist, product manager, Backend, C, test, Recommendation system, and Software Engineer.
